About Us
Built by the Noakes family in 1952 as a family home and since renovated in early 2020, the Manor features a classic Cape Dutch gable and inspiring ambience.
Known as the Zwaanswyk area, this part of the Constantia Valley is a haven for lovers of nature and stillness, making it the perfect destination for a boutique hotel that was established in 1995, with the addition of the Spa Wellness Centre in 1996.
The Steenberg Estate, originally known as the Zwaanswyk, was granted to Catherina Ustings in 1688 and was one of the first farms in the Western Cape. Its Cape Dutch homestead was built in about 1740, and its verandah and outbuildings were added at the beginning of the 19th century. It was declared a National Monument under old NMC legislation on 7 October 1983.

Classic Suites
Upper Cottages
The classic suites are located at the top of the gardens above the main house and overlook the Constantia Valley, the back of Table Mountain and the Cape Flats. These suites consist of a single bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a terrace.
Superior Suites
Lower Cottages
The Superior Suites are located at the bottom of the garden, in close proximity to our spa. These rooms have terraces and consist of a medium-sized room with an adjacent lounge area and an en-suite bathroom. We do have rooms with interleading doors which are recommended for family bookings.
Deluxe Suites
Lower Cottages
The Deluxe Suite is located on the ground floor and has access to the main terrace and the entrance courtyard. It consists of a large bedroom, lounge area and en-suite bathroom.

Manor House
The Manor Suites are located in the main manor house and consist of a large bedroom, lounge area and en-suite bathroom. Room 8 is situated on the ground floor and has access to the main terrace and the entrance courtyard whilst room 9 is situated upstairs on the first floor.
The Presidential Suite

Situated in the main manor house, this spacious suite features a large, luxurious bathroom with a shower and bath, a lounge area and extensive views.
